Planning and Codes Mission Statement- The Planning and Codes Department provides guidance on land use policy and development to achieve a future for city residents that is consistent with the goals and policies and objectives of the Master Plan. The Planning Department provides review for zoning and subdivision applications, along with other types of development. The Building Department provides review of building permit requests and conducts inspections in accordance with the adopted building regulations. The Staff is committed to providing customer service that focuses on excellence, high quality and timely services. The Staff is dedicated to continuing our education and professional development and have a commitment to the community. The goal is to serve the community as a whole based on positive planning principles that create livable communities and a sustainable economy.
Building and Codes
The Building and Codes Department is responsible for maintaining the quality and safety of construction within the City of White House. The department also provides guidance to builders and the general public in navigating adopted codes, local regulations, and permitting procedures.
Important Codes Update-
To help ensure the health, life safety, and general well-being of City of White House residents, we have adopted and will begin enforcing (January 1, 2025) the 2021 ICC Residential, Building, Fire, Plumbing, Mechanical, Property Maintenance, Swimming Pool and Spa, and Existing Building Codes,
Electronic Plan Submittal/Building Permit Application
The City of White House uses Energov-Civic Self Service for Plans & Permits for all planning applications, inspection request and necessary permits.
